My fingers brushed over her collarbone, slow and deliberate, as if marking her. “You’re not as strong as you think. You’ll break, and when you do, I’ll be here to claim what’s mine. I’ll put a collar around this neck” She recoiled, but I was faster, my hand closing around her throat, just tight enough to remind her who held power. Her breath hitched, the sharp edge of panic creeping in. “I’ll never be yours.”

“Ooh darling,” I whispered, my lips brushing against her ear, my voice a dark and stern. “You already are.”
